Welcome to 2016 (Let's Reflect!)

So it's super late at night (or early in the morning) on a Tuesday/Wednesday, whatever you wanna call it! It's super normal to let your mind run wild at this time and i personally always end up over thinking silly little things and working myself up before bed, which is such a bad idea! I decided this time i was going to write about it! Let's call this a reflexion of pre-2016!

I was just scrolling through my YouTube videos back to the days when i was actively a musician and making tones of awesome videos and music working with loads of great up and coming producers and videographers. I was watching all the old memories i hold with friends who have been in my videos and worked super hard to make them the best behind the scenes and also the old memories i have with you guys in these videos and reading some of the comments in the down bar and it just made me smile.

So i guess the reason i wanted to write this was just to say thank you so much. I don't say it enough but really if you guys didn't exist i don't know what i would have done with my life the past 6 years! You have all played a role in moulding me into the human being i am today. You have taught me how to appreciate every opportunity i am given (big or small) you have taught me so much about music and also you have introduced me and allowed me to meet some of the most amazing people who are now friends for life. All the times i ever felt like giving up one of you would send a nice tweet, a Facebook message or a YouTube comment and it would just brighten my day. It would make me realise why i do what i do and show me that it doesn't matter what anyone thinks as long as i have you guys, i'm doing alright! (Sorry for the super cheesy cheese with cheese sprinkled on top)

I also want to apologise to you all. I always told you guys i would make you proud and show everyone that i will make something of myself with the belief you guys had in me. I totally strayed from that path. But thats what life does, life sucks sometimes and you have to get a boring job and pay boring bills and manage money and plan things in advance. I'm so sorry i let you down and i'm so sorry i stopped posting on YouTube. I feel like YouTube is my happy place and the one place where i can be myself and post positive music and videos that are a true reflexion of me! The past few years i haven't always felt that way and i only want to post that for you guys to see. I lost all motivation and all faith in my music and (i know that sounds like such a lame excuse) it really sucked for me too. It made me feel worthless and i just felt like i wasn't doing the best job i could anymore hence why i cancelled alot of things i had planned such as the EP and the big music video project and a few events.

I've only ever wanted to give you guys the best of me as thats exactly what you all deserve the most and the Ryan you guys all taught me to be! All of you guys who have stuck by me 'hello' and from the bottom of my heart thank you for the support and love and for any newbies welcome to this crazy heck journey which may have taken a pit-stop for gas but trust me is about to go a million miles an hour (just realised i've started to type very american here).

I think i am ready to enter 2016 with a new attitude to life as a whole. I have sorted my fo'shiz out, as one might say, and i am feeling super motivated and getting myself back into music where my heart and soul truly belongs. Let's treat this break like the 'Take That break' as my Dad might say. I am going to university this year (HURRAAAAAY lets all have a mini party in the time it takes you to read this in the brackets) to study music production and therefor will relight my fire (notice the little Take That reference...seeing as it's the comeback) for music and with all the new tools and skills i will be learning i think we are truly gonna kick some ass!

I am going to start writing new songs this year with all the emotional experiences i have gained over the past few years (yes, i will be the next adele, not quite!) and i am going to book some more gigs and what not so i can get out there and meet as many of you as truly possible! This year is all about YOU! I want to know what songs you want me to cover and i want to know if you want me to do tutorials, chats, rants, comedy, acting, challenges i don't know! You name it, i'll do it (within reason of course) and let's get this channel back to the one you all know and love and it certainly needs some more love and attention!

ANNOUNCEMENT!
This year i will be introducing the concept of #RydayFriday which means EVERY Friday i will be posting a new video! This will not only keep me to a schedule of releasing some sort of video for your enjoyment each week and keeping my creative juices flowing BUUUUUUUT it gives you guys something to look forward to almost like an episode of Doctor Who each week....but with less aliens and more singing!

Please do leave a comment to let me know you read these things and say hi and i'm gonna start leaving positive quotes/messages at the end of each blog and video that i post, if you have any yourself please do share them as (here comes my first ever one):

'You're never fully dressed without a smile'

Much Love,
Ry x

So Ryan, Where have you been?

Hello there,

It's not usually like me to be writing something like this as, you all know, I'm a rather positive and happy individual on most days of the year (minus those man period few days!) But i just feel like, as a community, i should let you know where i've been and why i haven't really been posting very much the past year and i hope that you can understand and not feel like i have been selfish or ignoring you all as i love you very very much.

The past year has been a very difficult year inside my head. I have felt some strong emotions and lost my way, in a sense, and i can honestly say (hand on heart) when you guys send me lovely messages, tweets, comments on various social media it really does warm my heart and make me feel very lucky to have such a lovely community of people who support me in all that i do.

First of all i just want to apologise for not being here, well i have been here, but not 100% myself. I've tried to cover over that and put on a sort of persona to make myself seem happy and content but really i haven't been alot of the time, which quite a few of you actually picked up on (i want to say 'brownie points to you' but i feel thats a bit inappropriate!). I'm sorry i didn't post my usual YouTube videos and made all these promises to you guys that i would and never did. I'm sorry i haven't been able to give the usual advice to you ALL that i usually do via social networking when something is going on and you just need someone to talk to. I'm sorry for the lack of motivation i've had to do anything creative or productive and i'm sorry if you felt ignored in any way shape or form.

So what have i been doing? I wish i could sit here and tell you all i've been in the studio creating the next 'top selling album of the year' or i've been on tour with my music or something super exciting, but i cant. In all honesty i have been doing nothing. I have been either in bed, at work or going to a club or pub or something that involves alcohol. Why? (you may ask) Well internet, i haven't felt very good about myself for the past year. I have felt sad and down and alone and just not good enough in general. Alot of you did pick up on this and sent me lovely lovely words of kindness and at the time, it didn't make me feel better as i just didn't believe it, i didn't feel like i deserved those lovely words.

I'm not writing this for attention, or for sympathy which i'm sure some mean person (there's always one) will accuse me of, and to be honest if thats what you think, thats okay, i don't mind! So why am i writing this? I just feel like you deserve to know. I feel like, as a part of me (which you are), you deserved to know whats been going on and why i just haven't been there or here or wherever. I wanted you to know why i haven't been doing gigs and meet ups and appearances and why i haven't made videos and haven't gone on tour this year and wrote blog posts etc.

You're probably like WHATS BEEN GOING ON? (even though that makes you sound really nosey, but to be honest everyones like it and if i was reading this i'd be the same!) i am about to tell you, as weird and difficult as this is as i really don't like to talk about my feelings and emotions. Wow, this feels like some sort of weird therapy session. I won't give you all the details because it's rather personal and although i want to keep you informed there is a line and i hope you respect that, which i know you do.

I have just been feeling not good enough. I would start recording a video/cover and look back it and think it's rubbish or i look rubbish or it just sounds rubbish. I started to compare myself to other artists and think i'm not good enough or they're better than me and people have gone off me and i'm just not entertaining or talented enough to make it. I basically felt like 'what is the point?'. I couldn't make anything that i was happy with and i guess thats kind of sad. The amount of videos i have saved to my laptop that i haven't posted is actually crazy, and i don't think i'll ever post them but i have been trying, but as always just gave up. I also had a few personal issues with friends moving away and becoming distant (which really sucked as it made me feel even more alone) and relationship issues (which totally knocked my self confidence), family issues and i guess a bit of a drinking problem (which was a result of all of this).

So anyway, i just wanted to write this to let you know i am on the mend inside my head, almost like i have little people in my head (a bit like that Disney film 'Inside Out') fixing it all. I am feeling better and happier and i have new people around me and starting to believe in myself again. I'm not gonna sit here and say 'after this post i will post videos all the time and i'll have an album out next year and do tones more gigs' I'm just gonna say i am getting there and i will be making alot more effort for you guys. I've started to realise that i'm not alone, because i have all of you lovely people, whenever i need you be it 3am in the morning or 5pm in the afternoon. I feel so blessed to have people like you from all over the world who are there for me and i'd like to think you feel i'm there for you too!

The whole point to this post and why i'm even telling you is just to let you know you are never alone. If you ever feel like you are then i am here and the rest of our little community is here for you as i know how lovely and kind you all are to each other too! I'm just a message away and i will always do my best to message you back and give you a little virtual hug. My most important message from all this though is YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH. No matter what anyone says you are always good enough and even if you feel you aren't, trust me, you are perfect just the way you are. Never allow yourself to feel how i've been feeling as it just drags you down and ruins your life. Just remember we are all here for you and, in my case especially, remember alcohol is not your friend. It may be in the moment but it will make a fool out of you, make people laugh at you , make you angry, make you sad and leaves you with injuries, a bad hangover and no memories in the morning (good bit of personification there, my old english teacher would be proud!)

I apologise if my grammar is awful in this post (i'm a total grammar freak) but i just wanted to kind of let it all out and let my mind control my fingers on the keyboard. I'm gonna full out say this though 'i am proud of myself for letting this out, i'm proud of myself for helping myself and i am proud of myself for all i have achieved and will achieve in the future'. Your best friend is you, and you are always the best solution.

I shall leave you with a little something i wrote a few days ago which i think is food for thought. I love you all dearly.

Much love,
Ry x

Exploring London - My Favourite Places #1

London is such a beautiful city if approached in the right way and i think there are so many hidden gems that some people miss when visiting London as they're not particularly 'landmark-ey' places. These are places, i think, that make London such a great place to live so i shall share my secrets with you!

As you all know i actually live in Hastings (which is right on the south-east coast by the beach) but i did live in London for around 2 years in Deptford which is South-East London. Living in the hustle and bustle of the capital is the life for me and everyone has always said i'm just mean't to live there so i'm looking at my time in Hastings right now as a holiday from the big plan! Anyway enough rambling from me and lets get straight to it!

Camden Town
If you know me well you will know that when i am in London i visit Camden at least once every trip and last summer i pretty much was there every single day. It is a town that people don't always think to visit but if you've ever visited London with me there is a 90% chance i will take you there! It is such a unique place with so much life and energy and just makes me smile every single time i visit.

The market in Camden includes everything you can think of from handmade clothing stalls to shisha bars and zebra burger stands! I have so many happy memories from Camden Market just chilling by the lock in summer with a bottle of freshly squeezed orange juice, eating some 'bang bang chicken' and smoking a shish pipe at sunset sprawled out on some massive pillows, the perfect life!

For all of you music lovers out there so many awesome artists and bands are from the area such as the band 'Madness' who grew up in the area as well as N-Dubz and of course the incredible Amy Winehouse who lived in Camden and actually has a statue memorial in the market square erected in 2014. Did you know that THE Charles Dickens also lived in Camden for a while too!

There are loads of awesome places to visit in Camden such as the market (of course), the canal and credible music venues such as The Barfly, The RoundHouse and Dingwalls! I have specific parts of the market i love to visit and little 'secret' shops many people miss when visiting Camden. I love to eat and the 'back market' as i call it where you get foods from all over the world freshly cooked for you as well as some naughty treats such as pizza slices as big as my head and deep-fried oreos! Yum!

Also i love to visit the shop Cyber Dog which is a rave and futuristic branded fashion shop which has people dressed in neon clothing with metal things attached to their faces dancing on podiums with loud clubbing music and cool little gadgets and gizmos you can buy which are just so awesome as well as the little 'over 18's' section...need i say more!

I adore everything about Camden which is why it is my favourite place in London and i feel so proud to say i have played a gig there, if you want a day out in the sunshine with nothing but happiness and individual people and places to visit, don't miss out! P.s this is a people watchers paradise!

Primrose Hill
When i speak about Primrose Hill with some of my friends who have visited London they have no idea where and what it is. This, to me, is a total crime! Primrose hill is absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful hence why it's made it on to my favourite places in London list. I was actually taken to Primrose Hill by my dear friend Verity who urged me to trek up the hill but my god was it worth it!

The view from the top of Primrose hill is absolutely breath-taking. You can see pretty much all of the main landmarks in Central London and to experience a sunset there is such  refreshing and beautiful experience i urge you all who are reading this to experience. It is the perfect place to be on a summers day to have a picnic with a few drinks and friends and a laugh. Simple things in life are always the most precious.

An interesting fact about Primrose Hill, in the 16th century it was actually part of King Henry V111's game reserve! Aswell as royalty, other famous faces who live/have lived in the Primrose Hill area include 007 Daniel Craig, actor Jude Law, model Kate Moss, tv chef Jamie Oliver and heart-throb boy band member Harry Styles. This area is surrounded by big beautiful houses which obviously come at a grand price but even to visit the area is a free luxury in itself.

I highly recommend all sightseers and London lovers to visit Primrose Hill and a cheeky little hint for all you love-birds out there this would be the perfect place for a date at sunset or just to kick back and relax with some mates, i wouldn't advise visiting on a rainy day though, could be a bit muggy and  wet. P.s some of the photos i took myself!

If you adore London as much as i do then please do let me know some of your favourite places to visit in London as everyone has their own hidden gems and secrets in a town. If you'd like to see a part 2 to this blog post please do let me know either in the comments below or via my social media as i really enjoy writing them and hopefully showing you something you didn't know before you read my post and i have plenty more exciting super secret places in London i love to visit! Happy Sunday and i hope you have a lovely week!

Au Revoir!

My LUSH Skin Care Routine (Day 1)

I have always been lucky enough as a teenager to have great skin and never had acne or any major break-outs in the past that spring to mind. So a skin-care routine was never a priority, sometimes the odd moisturiser and a face wipe, but not really a 'routine' as such.

I would say my skin type has always been quite oily (which is something i inherited from my mother)  especially in my t-zone area and my chin (around the mouth) area. But also struggle with dry skin due to eczema that i have suffered with, since birth, on my cheeks which is quite inactive to be honest. It's quite a pain as my skin is so sensitive that i can't actually use products such as specific creams as the chemicals do irritate my skin.

I have always been a huge fan of LUSH which if any of you don't know is a fresh handmade cosmetics range i shall link the website right here. The best thing about LUSH products is that they are all made from natural ingredients with no harsh chemicals and also they support the 'no animal testing', 'naked packaging, 100% vegetarian and charitable causes so it's always a win win when purchasing their products. This is great for me as i get a great product which i know won't harm my skin in any way shape or form, perfect!

So recently i have started to have major break-outs around my mouth area and also around the top of my cheeks (top of my cheek-bones), forehead and a few various places. This is so alien to me and i do admit it may be down to the amount of make-up i have been using recently to hide these break-outs, that has just made it 10x worse! Also the condition of my skin has become so bad due to the lack of care i give to it as i've never really thought to! Here are a few totally gross photos of me before i started my skin-care routine...please don't laugh!

So i have created a very simple and very basic skincare routine using very few products as a starter to just make me feel much better in my skin without spending too much money and buying far too many products to be using all at one time. It's always best to start off slow and add things if and when you need them! So below i will list each product i have purchased from the LUSH store and my first initial reaction to my first ever use of the product!

HERBALISM - FACE AND BODY CLEANSER

So this product is a green colour and at first glance is quite a crumbly product its suppose to balance and cleanse the skin with the rosemary and nettles as well as lightly exfoliate with the almonds and rice bran. I'm not too keen on the smell as it's a very strong fragrance which personally i'm not a fan of. It's very easy to apply with a little bit of water and massage into the face, it can be a bit messy but thats all part of the fun! When i washed off the cleanser my skin felt a million dollars. For a first time use, my skin hasn't felt so soft in ages and it instantly didn't feel as oily as it usually does, especially around the nose area. I can't wait to continue to use this product as i'm excited to see what the further results will be!

GREASE LIGHTNING - SPOT TREATMENT

I have been reading up online for a product which will help to stop these break-outs from happening and i have been led to this product and after reading the reviews i am so excited to be in possession of it! It's the consistency of a gel and comes in a pump bottle and the smell of this product is out of this world. It's so fresh and really reminds me of my childhood with my Nan as i personally pick out the lavender smell as the strongest. So it contains tea tree and witch hazel which 'zap the zits'. I applied this after the cleanser to my break-outs and the initial feeling on my skin was very cooling and then it made the skin feel quite tight in the areas i applied them, this can be changed with a moisturiser/toner, but i love that feeling as i know it's working! I'm really hoping this product is as good as the reviews as i'll never have to worry about a spot ever again!

POPCORN - LIP SCRUB

This is such a treat of a product as not only is it amazing but it also comes in the most awesome range of flavours! So i brought the popcorn flavour which smells absolutely incredible, probably the best smelling out of all of them! So a lip scrub is basically an exfoliator for the lips, which is perfect for this cold time of year when chapped lips are so common. It contains coconut oil, sugar, sea salt and popping candy (what is more exciting than popping candy in a cosmetics product?!) which leave your lips feeling incredible. I am a bit of a lip-balm addict and i love my lips to feel soft and un-chapped as i am always prone to splits in the lip where they get so dry. I kid you not, seconds after you've used this product you feel the difference. Your lips are incredibly smooth and when you apply your chosen lip balm (at the moment i'm obsessed with the Cocoa Butter Vaseline as it smells like heaven) your lips feel so soft and hydrated and personally that is such an amazing feeling! Highly recommend this product!

ADDED BONUS - R&B - HAIR MOISTURISER

So i was determined to buy the 'Hair Doctor' hair treatment as i have used it before and it works miracles, literally, but they are currently creating a new formula so it's not in stock anywhere! So my hair is always very dry and dead as i have naturally curly hair (which i'm not a fan of) and so i straighten it and blow-dry it everyday and i'm always quite rough with it. Recently i have realised how much of a bad condition it's in as i'm starting to get alot of split ends and it is either far too dry or far too oily (greasy). I asked one of the super nice people in the LUSH store for an alternative which will work as well as 'Hair Doctor' and the guy told me R&B is great for hydrating your hair and scalp for a deep treatment that will show in a short period of time. I wasn't too sure so i was given a tester to try out and see what i thought. It's a pale yellow cream which smells so incredible and fresh and is so easy to apply, plus it contains the 'orange blossom absolute' which i'm loving at the moment in products!. You only need to use a tiny bit and i started from the ends and worked my way to my scalp just massaging it in and making sure i got all of my hair. Usually i avoid any kind of products that add moisturise to your hair (apart from conditioner in the shower) as i find my hair tends to go very greasy very quickly and i hate that feeling. I AM OBSESSED! Not only does it smell incredible but after application my hair also feels so light and soft and ITS NOT GREASY OR OILY! I am going to keep using this for a few weeks to see the progress but i highly doubt i will ever be able to go without this product in my hair-care range again, it's truly incredible! But before i get too excited and buy millions of pots full, i will overcome my initial excitement and review this product properly over a period of time.

PRICES OF THE PRODUCTS

Some people think that LUSH is overpriced but for the sheer quality of these products and how natural and kind to the skin they are i would say they are worth every single penny! I am usually quite tight when it comes to money as i don't want to waste it on over-priced products, usually down to branding, but LUSH just always seems to deliver if you know what products are right for you!

Herbalism - 1 x 100g pot - £6.75 ... i'd say this would last you a couple months at the very least!

Grease Lightning - 1 x 45g bottle - £6.40 i think this will last a pretty long time as you don't use much when applying.

Popcorn - 1 x 25g pot - £5.50 - amazing value for money if you are a 'lippy person' like me it will last so so long as you shouldn't over use it and you only use tiny amounts when applying.

R&B - 1 x 100g pot - £11.50 - may seem pricey but you only use very tiny amounts at a time and i think a 100g pot would go a very long way. my little tester was free as i wanted to try before i bought it.

Please do let me know if you have tried any of the products i have mentioned and if you agree/disagree with my initial reaction to them after the first use. Also if i have managed to persuade you to try some of the products mentioned do let me know how you're getting on with them and if you can recommend any products you are using i'd love to hear them!

if you click the product name in bold it will lead you to the LUSH website and you can look it up yourself!

Thanks for reading,
Ryan x

20 Things You Might Not Know About Me Blog Tag

This is the perfect way for you guys to get to know some strange and interesting facts about me exclusive to my blog! This tag was started by the lovely Blacksburg Belle (go check out her blog) and encourages bloggers and creative people to connect with each other and for their followers to get to know them that little bit better!

So lets get started...

QUESTION 1: How Tall Are You?
This is something i don't particularly know myself but an educated guess is about 5'10 which is about 178cm, i think!

QUESTION 2: Do You Have A Secret Talent? If So, What?
I like to think the amount of food i can eat in a short space of time is a talent! I can eat an entire meal and then 15 mins later be hungry and feel like i haven't eaten! Apart from that i don't think there's anything that secret i'm talented at!

QUESTION 3: Whats Your Biggest Blog-Related Pet Peeve?
Probably having to write a post which always takes a lot more time than i think it's going to and having to think about the layout and how its going to look on my blog...which is something i, majority of the time, just give up with and think 'well at least it's a slightly interesting post'.

QUESTION 4: Whats Your Biggest Non-Blog Related Pet Peeve?
i hate being let down the most, i think if you make plans with someone especially when its quite far in advance and then you get some rubbish excuse as to 'why they can't make it' that is a HUGE pet peeve of mine and i hate people who are super sure of themselves and are far too self-confident, as i like to call it, arrogant!

QUESTION 5: Whats Your Favourite Song?
My favourite song always changes but my favourite song of all time is 'The Climb' by Miley Cyrus as it's just such a meaningful song to me and it's always a ritual of mine to listen to 'The Climb' before i go on stage to perform, i have no idea why, it;s just something i always do.

QUESTION 6: Whats Your Favourite Etsy Shop That Isn't Yours?
I'm not gonna lie but i have no idea what an 'Etsy Shop' is so i'm afraid i'm not really able to answer this question, someone feel free to enlighten me in the comments!

QUESTION 7: Whats Your Favourite Way To Spend Your Free Time When You're Alone?
When i'm alone i love to cook and bake, which sounds really strange as it's not something i usually talk about but i love to listen to music, not like 'normal listening to music' i really love to listen and understand lyrics to new and old music.

QUESTION 8: Whats Your Favourite Junk Food?
I have to admit i LOVE junk food but then again i don't really know what exactly 'junk food' is as anything can become it in excessive amounts but my 'high calorie' guilty pleasure is most definitely ice-cream which i could happily eat all day long to me 'Ice-Cream = Happiness'

QUESTION 9: Do You Have A Pet Or Pets? If So What Kind And What Are Their Names?
I only have one pet which is my little baby Chip! He is a West Highland Terrier dog who's now 9 years old! He's currently snuggled up on the sofa next to me asleep, snoring away! We've had him since he was a puppy and he's literally the most lovable, hyperactive dog i've ever met!

QUESTION 10: What Are Your Favourite Fiction and Non-Fiction Books?

Fiction : 'Private Peaceful'- by Michael Morpurgo
This is a book i HIGHLY recommend you to read. Michael Morpurgo is an absolutely incredible author and i wish i could choose all of his books but this book in particular really played with my emotions and tugged at my heart strings. This book is about a soldier named Tommo looking back on his life from the trenches of World War 1 in Belgium. So heart-warming and emotional and was actually the first book i ever cried at. I came across this book when my teacher at school chose it to be a book we studied and my entire class absolutely fell in love with it!

this book is about the young girl who was selected from the slums by Danny Boyle to play a role in the incredible film 'Slumdog Millionaire' and her story of this life changing opportunity! I actually ended up picking up this book by chance as i wanted something to read on a flight and after reading a few pages became so hooked and intrigued by this little girls incredible story!

QUESTION 11: What's Your Favourite Beauty Product or Tool?
Hairspray! Hairspray! Hairspray! I literally couldn't live without it! I'm really loving 'Schwarzkopf Got2b Glued Blasting Freeze' which is a product i have re-visted after a few years and it gives my hair the finish that i love which is a total frozen rock! I hate my hair moving and falling out of place which is always an issue as i have very thick curly hair naturally and i just feel that this product stops my hair from curling out of control (when styled) and keeps it in place firmly and it's a drugstore product so is a very very reasonable price!

QUESTION 12: When Were You Last Embarrassed? What Happened?
I get asked this question alot, i don't really get embarrassed anymore as i just seem to do so many stupid things i just get used to being a total embarrassment all the time! I think my most recent embarrassing thing was when i was filming for one of my new videos and was balancing a mini creme egg on my nose and some random man was watching me do it from outside my living room window. He looked rather confused!

QUESTION 13: If You Could Only Drink One Beverage (Besides Water) For The Rest Of Your Life, What Would It Be?
Vanilla Coke, i've actually had to ration myself on it at the moment as i'm starting to worry myself by how much of it i drink!

QUESTION 14: Whats Your Favourite Movie?
I literally can't answer this i have SO many different movies i adore for so many different reasons! I watch a hell of a lot of films so i'll just name a few of my favourites as i'd be here all day otherwise:

  • The Last Song
  • Walking On Sunshine
  • Notting Hill
  • The Hannah Montana Movie
  • Bridesmaids
  • The Hunger Games Trilogy

QUESTION 15: What Were You In High School: Prom Queen/King, Nerd, Cheerleader, Jock, Valedictorian, Band Geek, Loner, Artist, Prep?
In my school we didn't really have that much of a 'category' of people as everyone was pretty cool with each other but in England we have different 'stereotypes' like: Chavs, Emo's, Nerds, Sporty People, Sluts etc. I would say i was a bit of a group jumper as i was always so social and just liked to hang with different people and my most regular group were all the same we just sort of chilled and did what we wanted and chatted to whoever!

QUESTION 16: If You Could Live Anywhere In The World, Where Would You Live?
I'd love to live in the US probably in the state of California as it just looks so beautiful and sunny and life just seems so laid back and awesome there, plus i've always wanted to visit LA in Cali so so bad!

QUESTION 17: PC or Mac?
Once you go Mac you never go back!

QUESTION 18: Last Romantic Gesture From A Crush, Date, Boy/Girlfriend, Spouse?
Well like the usual cuddle and kisses but the last like cutesy thing that i found like awww was when i was taken to go see a show which seemed really small but actually mean't alot to me and made me all like gooey inside...if that makes sense! I like to measure romance on a 'Disney-like Scale' ...i know kill me now, such a cringe! But i think the cutest things are the simple and magical moments!

QUESTION 19: Favourite Celebrity?
I don't even think i need to answer this....if you know me i'm sure you know the answer to this! I shall leave you a photographic clue!

QUESTION 20: What Blogger Do You Secretly Want To Be Friends With?
Louise Pentland aka Sprinkle Of Glitter who you may know from YouTube also! i think she's just such an honest and strong minded person and i think we're pretty similar so we'd make awesome friends, a force to be reckoned with!

I tag all of you guys out there who write a blog to answer these questions and send me your answers so i can learn a little bit more about you just like you have learn't about me! Hope you enjoyed this post as i most certainly loved writing it and maybe if you check out any of the products or recommendations i have written about please do comment and let me know your thoughts on them!

Much Love,
Ry x

Netflix Madness: Recent Film Reviews & Recommendations #1

Netflix is slowly taking over my life, it's kind of scaring me!

...putting that aside i have had the honour to watch some of the greatest films i have ever seen all just out of chance! If you guys don't have Netflix i do highly recommend it as it's just so convenient and i always love to snuggle down in bed before i go to sleep and get lost in the storyline of a good film. It is around £5.99 for UK members and i believe $7.99 for US users per month. This is a total no-brainer really when a DVD costs around £10 nowadays and for £5.99 you can have access to hundreds upon hundreds of amazing and varied films!

(Just to clarify this is all my own opinions and views and i have not been sponsored by Netflix or anyone else to write this post)

...so here are a few of my recommendations for any of you budding Netflix members!

Adventures in Babysitting

This film is a 1987 comedy starring Elisabeth Shue, Maia Brewton, Keith Coogan, Anthony Rapp and more about a 17 year old babysitter who's night takes an unexpected turn of adventure when her friend becomes stranded in the big city and the babysitter and group have to go and rescue her!

I didn't want to give too much away within the description of the film as it's one of those films you watch and just immediately fall in love and connect with the characters and the quirky comedic quotes. I love how unexpected each event in the film is and if you love a light-hearted quirky comedy this is definitely a film for you. At the moment i have a total obsession with films from the 80s as they're so original and unlike a lot of the crap you get in newer films! I find them just raw acting at it's best without needing all the effects and what not.

Labor Pains

This is a film starring the one and only Lindsay Lohan (a personal favourite actress of mine), Bridget Mendler (yes Teddy from 'Good Luck Charlie'), Chris Parnell and more released in 2009 by ABC Family. It is a rom-com about a girl who fakes her pregnancy with the help of a friend so she doesn't loose her secretary job but things start to get a little too serious.

I really recommend this film to any fellow rom-com lovers out there if you haven't seen it already. I found it absolutely hilarious through-out with Lindsay Lohan playing her role perfectly and cracking hilarious lines through-out. It also has those lovely heart-warming moments every rom-com needs so is perfect for watching with mates on night in for a some light-hearted comedy (this film is well accompanied with pizza!) Plus Bridget Mendler looks so young in this film when i saw her i was a little gob-smacked haha!

Walking on Sunshine

I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS FILM (just thought i'd throw that straight out there! This film has an amazing cast including Hannah Arterton, Annabel Scholey, Giulio Berruti, Leona Lewis (exciting yes!), Katy Brand and more amazing people. It was released in 2014 and is a romantic musical comedy-drama set in Apulia, Italy about a girl who returns to Italy to find her one true love from her previous holiday to find out that he is now infact her sisters fiancee!

This film is so unlike me to enjoy but i am completely obsessed with it and i can't even count how many times i have seen it. I'm not usually one for musicals but this film includes so many great hits from the 1980's it is madness if you don't enjoy it and find yourself singing along! With songs such as 'Walking On Sunshine', 'Eternal Flame', 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' and 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go' it's such a great feel good film! It's so funny and a total cringe to watch as it's so cheesy but i don't know what it is about this film that makes me so in love with it. It's even got to the point where i have downloaded the soundtrack and it has become a high conversation topic within my group of friends! If you haven't seen this film i do highly recommend it, even though it's not everyone's up of tea. Don't take this film too seriously as it's not as slick and 'perfectly in tune' as a more serious musical but it's so fun and vibrant to watch and always brightens my day (plus Leona Lewis sounds amazing, even though she barely gets any solo parts'!

I could sit here and write about a million films as i am so into discovering new films and exploring new genre's at the moment but i shall save that for another blog post. Please do let me know if you want me to make this a regular thing and your opinions on the films i am posting if you have time to watch them or have seen them before! Also PLEASE DO leave your favourite films and recommendations in the comments as it gives me more films to explore myself!

Have a lovely lovely week guys,

Ry x

P.s I promise i'm not having some sort of weird premature midlife crisis with my obsession with the 80s at the moment i just think it is an era where alot of amazing things were created!

Christmassy Chattery Question Time!

Ho ho ho, hello!

So it's Christmas Eve Eve and i'm so super excited for Christmas but more excited to be going home to Hastings to see all of my friends and family who i have missed dearly! But in the true Christmassy spirit, it is time for a festive Q&A with my lovely internet family so i reached out on Twitter to you guys to see what YOU wanted to know....(p.s i'm so sorry i haven't made a video in a while, i haven't had my equipment, i'm silly and left it in Hastings) Let's get answering:

  • @EmmmaaHarris asked:' If you could re-live a day of your life, what day would it be?
This is such a cute question and i love thinking about old memories and thoughts but then again this is such a difficult question. If you know me well i find it really hard to pick a favourite of anything. I feel like i'm being unfair on the 'unfavourited' haha! But a few days i would love to go back to would be the day i performed at Wembley Arena as i have never felt so proud of myself and so emotional and 'aghhhhh' in my life (a sound effect was the best way to describe my feeling). Also i would love to go back to the day of my Mum and Dad's wedding as i don't really remember very much of it but just remember it was such a happy day for my family. Lastly i'm sure you would have guessed, i would go back to any day that i got to meet Miley Cyrus, thanks for frying my brain with this question Emma! x

  • @jacobftcharlie asked:' if you could only eat Christmas food for the rest of your life, what would it be? '
This is a cruel question as you all know how much i love food and to pick a favourite food would be like picking a favourite child, from a parent's point of view....i definitely don't have any secret children i've never told you about!  Buuuut if i only got to eat one Christmas food for the rest of my life it would HAVE to be 'pigs in blankets' as they are just heavenly and my mum never puts a good amount on my plate at christmas! MOTHER 4 IS NOT ENOUGH! For all of you who have no idea what 'pigs in blankets' are and are thinking what the hell do they eat in England it's simply a mini sausage wrapped in bacon but to make it Christmassy english people love to make up fancy names! x

  • @TashaJayne_RH asked:' what is the best present you have have received? (Other than what I got you last year of course) '
I think the best present i have ever received on Christmas was probably my iPhone like a few years back! I remember totally not expecting it and on Christmas unwrapping it and like literally crying my eyes out with happiness. If you know me, my iPhone is literally like my child as i just have everything on it and yaa! But to be honest Tash, what you got me last year was super cute and did make me tear up just a tiny bit..thanks for the question, make sure to say Merry Christmas to your family for me! x

I have so many favourites like Christmas songs make me so happy and want to dance around, just like any normal person haha! But my all time favourite Christmas song ever ever is probably either 'Baby It's Cold Outside' or the old classic 'Silent Night' .... little story... Every year around Christmas on my road there was a little church choir that used to sing under every street light on my street and one year i decided to go and join in. We sang Silent Night and i felt so festive and Christmassy i cried haha, and that song just makes me feel so festive and warm and fuzzy inside!  My least favourite christmas song is 1,000,000% 'My Only Wish (This Year)' by Britney Spears...ask anyone at my work and we ALL hate it with a passion. If i ever meet her i will happily throw something at her for releasing this song, metaphorically of course! x
  • @just_neve asked: if you could be in any Christmas film, which film would you be in and why? '
I adore this question and when i saw this pop up i did get a little bit excited! I'm one of those people who LOVES Christmas films to the point that i watch them all year round! There are so many Christmas films i would be in for various reasons as they all just have such a cute ending and such cute things happen! To be fair though i would love to see myself as a who from whoville aka. THE GRINCH! But then again i would love to be Buddy the Elf from Elf! Such a brilliant festive question. What do you guys think i would look like as a who or an elf..let me know! Thanks for the question x

Thank you so much guys for your questions i'm so sorry i didn't answer all of them as i only planned to spend like half an hour on this post as i have to go to bed early ready to go home tomorrow but i really enjoyed reading your response and the questions getting me into a festive frame of mind! I will try and post one more time tomorrow on Christmas Eve and if not have the best and loveliest Christmas with your families full of happiness and Christmas cheer and good food!

Lots of Chritmassy love,

Ryan x
(p.s sorry for the very abrupt ending my Dad just called me to sort out me coming home and i wanted to post this by 12)
